Year-Round Catch Basin Repairs
Catch basins allow surface water to drain from roads and private property. The water that falls into the catch basin flows into the storm sewer, an underground collection system for storm water and melted snow and ice. Not all catch basins are the same and repairs vary from unit to unit. The most common catch basins today are built on catch basin rings and are easier to fix. Some other types are built on the older system, which are on a brick and mortar system. This repair normally requires the removal of all of the bricks and rebuilding with modern catch basin rings.
Other types of catch basins, called custom catch basins, sit on only the pre-cast concrete itself—these units require customized repair plans. Normally, we would have to saw cut the surface perimeter in 1" segment cuts and hand chisel them and then place catch basin rings as required and parge any gaps of the chisel work. Prices all depend on how many catch basins and what types of repairs are required.
